Meet Our Clinic Pets
Meet the beloved pets who call our clinics home.
Booger was brought to Animal Medical by one of the rescues they regularly work with—they knew he needed care from our trusted vets. He had some health challenges, namely polyps in his nose, ears, and throat. (Hence his clever name!) Turns out, Booger is also a heart-stealer. After his first surgery, the team quickly fell in love and made Booger a permanent member of their clinic family.
Recently, Booger had to undergo another surgery (Ventral Bulla Osteotomy) to treat chronic ear issues caused by unreachable polyp tissue in his middle ear. But Booger is a champ! The procedure went smoothly, and he’s now back to happily greeting clients and patients!
We’re so proud of Booger for being such a brave patient and a beloved member of the BRP Community!
Pet Central Animal Hospital’s resident African Grey Parrot, Lydia was surrendered when her owners could no longer care for her. Thankfully, Dr. Ngo took her in, and she’s been a beloved part of the clinic ever since! Now at 25 years old, Lydia keeps the team entertained with her quirky personality and clever antics.
Some of her favorite activities include:
- Making fire alarm sounds
- Tearing keys off keyboards️
- Shredding cardboard like a pro
- Creating her own “soup” by mixing her food in water— she even picks a different color each day!
From keeping the team on their toes to bringing clients joy every day, Lydia isn’t just a clinic pet—she’s a cherished part of the BRP Community.
At The Cat Hospital at Palm Harbor, Lucy, their three-legged queen, takes her supervisor duties very seriously. Whether she’s inspecting paperwork with her teeth or adding a personal touch of cat fluff to clean laundry during her biscuit-making breaks, she’s truly the hardest-working team member on-site! Her favorite activities? Shoulder rides, festive fashion, and treating every delivery like a top-secret mission.
Her brother Chunky is their official Staff Morale Expert—and a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Known for his love of belly rubs, slow blinks, and “purse inspections,” Chunky’s warm energy comforts clients and team members alike. He’s got a sixth sense for spotting anyone who needs a little pick-me-up and always provides support to anyone in need. He’s also never one to miss a meal, patiently sitting beside his bowl and gently reminding each passing staff member of his readiness for dinner.
These two have brought so much joy to the Cat Hospital at Palm Harbor team that they’ve even been added to the clinic’s new logo.
